Pharmacy Summer Intern Program
We offer a nationwide structured internship program that concentrates on disease state management and how it fits into community pharmacy operations. Interns are exposed to all areas of the pharmacy, but focus on duties and activities specific to the program. Ensures rational drug use, appropriate drug dosing, monitors and documents patient response to therapy and progression to desired clinical goals

Coordinates and directs the activities of ancillary pharmacy personnel, assures their compliance with policies and procedures

 

Education and/or experience: B.S. in Pharmacy and/or PharmD is required. At least two years related experience is required. Current pharmacy license in appropriate state of practice is required.


Phoenix Children's Hospital

 

The Staff Pharmacist oversees the daily activities of the medication use process and provides comprehensive pharmacy services to patients from neonate to young adulthood. Additionally, they perform the duties of a registered pharmacist as defined by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and Phoenix Children s Hospital.

 

REQUIRES: Current licensure as a pharmacist either by reciprocity or examination by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy. Experience with pediatric pharmacy practice is preferred

WEEKEND HOURS may become required

We’re looking for experienced Pharmacists to service customers, both
internal and external, through problem resolution and receiving new
Rx’s by phone.

  • Receive new Rx’s by phone from doctor’s offices and make sure they
    are written up properly.
  • Analyze drug therapies and monitor member profiles to avoid harmful
    drug interactions, duplication, allergic reaction, inappropriate
    dosage, etc.
  • Aid phone techs in clarifying Rx’s regarding any problems with
    quantities, directions, interactions, etc.
  • Answer questions from Customer Service and other departments to
    reduce processing time.
  • Patient calls - tablet identification, misfills, side effects,
    product stability (hot/cold weather), any and all questions.
  • Doctor calls - misfills, lost orders, missing orders,
    partial/shorted orders, damaged orders, new Rx, fax verifications,
    obtaining or clarification of “urgent orders.”
  • Customer service - handle all PT calls related to pharmacy.  Answer
    all CSA questions to aid in answering PT calls.  Fax verification and
    review existing Rxs for misfills or errors.
  • Handle all misfills and resolutions or related issues.
  • Email and scanning prescription information
  • Miscellaneous work-related tasks assigned by Management
